Got Brush Chipping Questions?
Quick answers to what we chip, how we chip, and how to keep your cost down.
Do you offer brush chipping in Burlington neighbourhoods?
Yes. We provide brush chipping services throughout Burlington and nearby areas. If you’re unsure whether you’re within our service area, send us your address and we can confirm.
Will you do brush chipping jobs that take longer than an hour?
Yes, we do larger jobs — but they’ll need a custom estimate. Most residential piles fit into our 30 or 60-minute packages, but if your property looks more like a forest floor, we’ll quote based on pile size, access, and prep.
Can you chip branches in my backyard?
We can, but front-yard access keeps costs lower. Our chipper weighs about 2,000 lbs and stays curbside, so backyard piles mean extra time and labour to drag branches out — and that adds to the cost. If possible, move them near the road or driveway with cut ends facing one direction for the best price.
Can you chip brush piles on rural properties?
Yes, as long as the ground is dry and solid. For rural or farm properties, we can bring an ATV to tow the chipper around level terrain to multiple piles — this can only be done if you are planning to keep the chips and have them blown near where your brush pile is located. It will also require a minimum 4 foot wide access and favourable terrain and ground conditions.
How can I tell how big my brush pile is?
Think minivan-sized — and we mean the outside, not the trunk. A pile about the size of a minivan (exterior dimensions) is roughly 15 cubic yards of brush. That’s what we can usually chip in about 30 minutes if it’s well-prepped and accessible.
Do you sell or deliver wood chips?
No, but we can help you get them. We use ChipDrop.com to drop wood chips between jobs, so if you’d like free mulch, sign up there — we might just be working nearby.
Should I cut my branches before you arrive?
No need to cut them down — longer branches are better. Our commercial-grade chipper is hydraulically fed and actually works faster with full-length branches. Avoid cutting them into short pieces, and just stack them with cut ends facing one way. Learn more about branch prep.
Will you chip very old or dried-out brush piles?
Sometimes — it depends how old and brittle the pile is. Fresh brush chips cleanly, but older piles can crumble apart as we feed them in, slowing the process. Some are just too far gone to chip efficiently (or safely).
What affects brush chipping pricing the most?
Prep, access, and pile size are everything. Well-stacked piles near the driveway take less time, which keeps your cost down. Backyard dragging, tangled branches, or hidden surprises like rocks or roots can add extra time (and cost).
He took care of a huge pile of debris and had it chipped and cleaned up in under 30 minutes. I was really impressed by how fast and efficient he was. If you’ve got branches, brush, or yard waste piling up, I’d highly recommend reaching out to him.
